cksmithy's JournalI have been a reader since 2016, and posted I've posted a few responses since I joined this year.
I learned about du after the 2016 election. I have loved reading all the posts, I agree with almost everything I have read. I guess this is my first original post. So to introduce myself, I was born in 1951, I am a 72 years old women, my father had major shell shock, ptsd from ww2, which he took out on his children. I really can't stand what is going on in Ukraine and the US. I grew up with the threat (in my father's imagination, (somewhere I have a pamphlet of what to do in case of nuclear attack)) of communists coming over our hill, which is connected to Hwy 101, in California, 13 miles from Fort Ord, CA. I am so sad and angry about what is happening to Ukraine. I feel it. I read a story about a 91 year old Leningrad survivor who is in Ukraine, and how difficult her life is. I, too, worry about my grandchildren and children living in this world and the world that is to come. I can only hope it will be ok. It feels like it is happening right now, to everyone. I am no longer on the California coast, though, I sure wish I was, the weather is wonderful and the country side and foothills, where I grew up, are so beautiful.
