About Me

Mystery Owl --- Recently, I woke up at 12 midnight for no particular reason, went to the front window and look into the night. My eye went up and I was surprised to see something on the tip top of a wooden telephone poll. As my eyes adjusted I could see it was a large owl perched there, sitting all majestic like. It was a great moment.

"The Real West-Wing"

I know it will hard to watch, for not long ago we had the real deal!
My friend told me about this being out and said it was really good!
I placed a hold on a copy from my local library. The wait list is not long.

Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring (Book)

I just finished reading this book. I was intrigued and impressed by the research and compilation of history.

I kept thinking about how arduous it was for them to communicate over long distances. I liked the invisible ink development too, that science came from France.

Has anyone else read the book?

Anyone else a fan of the "Lucky Dog" show?

I just discovered this show where Brendan rescues dogs from the pound, trains them and finds them a forever home. I like how he trains the dogs. It is a great show.

Here is a sample:

The female Democrats running for office - 2018

In America, the women's marches in protest against President Trump and the "MeToo" movement have been significant cultural and political mustering points over the last year and a half. Well, now it all appears to have led to a surge in the number of female candidates running as Democrats in the mid-term elections this autumn.

Hi all. I'm new to DU

I got an email that said I should post my first thread in the DU lounge.

I have been reading DU off and on for a while, and decided it was time I join in on the dialog.

I'm worried about the upcoming 2018 election, as many of you might be. We need to get back some power with a majority in the house at least. I just don't trust the republicans - they cheat and play dirty. We need to expand our electorate in order to override their suppression tactics. I am trying to decide where best to volunteer my efforts to help.

Anyway, hello. Nice to meet you all.
