I suppose it's fitting that a congressman who's declared bankruptcy five (5) times himself should disparage student loan forgiveness, as Trump has often done, seeing as Trump has declared bankruptcy six (6) times himself. Not exactly the party of personal responsibility, are they? They all talk a good game, but...

Anyway, this dummy will parade in front of tv cameras on Thursday to do just that, and hope we all just ignore the contradiction and the hypocrisy of his words.

Former President Donald Trump has been lashing out at every top official investigating him for several potential crimes. And, of course, Trump sycophants Rep. Jim Jordan and other Republican leaders are demanding that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg go to Congress to testify why he was indicting Trump.

Today, Trump broke out in an all-caps rant to lash out at Bragg on Truth Social. The one-term President's closing two sentences appeared to call for violence -- again.

"HE (Bragg) IS JUST CARRYING OUT THE PLANS OF THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS," he said. "OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED, AS THEY TELL US TO BE PEACEFUL!"

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) on Thursday claimed to be the only member of Congress affected by gun violence, and her comment drew backlash just moments later.

Luna described her lived experiences during a joint hearing on gun stabilizing braces held by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance and the House Oversight Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs.

“I am the only member of Congress that has both survived an armed robbery, a home invasion, a gang shooting on my school campus. And I remember being a young girl and being brought to a cousin's funeral that had been murdered, she was shot,” Luna said.

Responding to a new law allowing for "pornographic" books to be removed from school libraries, a Utah parent has moved to have "one of the most sex-ridden books around" removed as well, namely, the Bible.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the parent, who remains unidentified for privacy reasons, submitted their challenge on Dec. 11 along with an eight-page list of passages from the Bible that they found to be offensive and worth reviewing.

“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide,” the parent wrote in their request. “You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”

A lawsuit filed in federal court Friday aims to declare the anti-dark money ballot measure that Arizona voters approved last year unconstitutional on grounds that political donors have a First Amendment right to do so anonymously, among other claims.

Voters widely approved Proposition 211 last year, with more than 70% of voters choosing to require that big-money donors disclose their names to political action committees. The Voters’ Right to Know Act triggers disclosure if an individual gives $5,000 or more to a committee that spent at least $50,000 on a given statewide or legislative race or ballot proposition.

I guess at this point Claudia Tenney should become one of Trump's lawyers with such sterling legal advice. And Tenney is a lawyer who practiced for many years before she went into politics. But that doesn't seem to matter if you're a MAGA lawyer.

And news for Rep. Tenney, Trump has already said he will appear. "As was pointed out for Tenney, Trump’s lawyers previously released a statement saying he would cooperate with authorities should an indictment come."

As speculation continues to grow as to whether or not former President Donald Trump will be indicted and arrested, evangelist Franklin Graham is telling his followers to pray for Trump while lamenting the "left in Washington and across the country" who he says "can’t get their fill of attacking" the former president.

"They are so paranoid of him. The onslaught against him is continual. There’s no question, the media and the left manipulated the last election, and they are scared to death of Donald Trump’s possible return," Graham wrote in a Facebook post this Monday. "So, night after night, the media runs negative stories about former President Trump. Now they're talking about the possibility of arresting him in the hopes that this would prevent him from running for president again—this would be a huge mistake."

According to Graham, "the charges" -- none of which have yet been filed against Trump -- "are definitely politically motivated."

Prosecutors are seeking the testimony of an attorney representing Donald Trump in the Georgia case over alleged election interference, but the former president’s lawyer plans to deny what her attorney described as a "strange" request, ABC News reports.

It is not clear what information prosecutors hope to glean from Christina Bobb, according to the report, which notes that the Trump attorney’s role in the classified documents case is being investigated by the Department of Justice’ special counsel, Jack Smith.

John Lauro, a criminal defense attorney who represents Bobb, confirmed to the outlet that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office contacted him to issue the request.

House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) suggested that any arrest of former President Donald Trump would be an "effort to distract" from his investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop.

"Do you have any comment about Trump potentially being indicted on Tuesday?" Fox News host asked Comer during an interview on Sunday. The clip was first flagged by Aaron Rupar.

"Well, it's very odd that this would come out just the very next day after I revealed bank records which showed that the Biden family, the president in particular, hasn't been truthful with respect to his family receiving payments directly from the Chinese Communist Party," Comer replied. "So it almost looks like it's an effort to detract."
