Cindy Hyde-Smith for US Senate list of Donations

Here is the PDF file of this Smith character donations.................everyone of these organizations that donated to this person are racists, and bigots.......................I really do hope that the new democratic congress attacks Citizens United..................

Cindy Hyde-Smith Can Run, But She Can't Hide

In her response to our recent video of Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith encouraging voter suppression, her campaign proves the only thing that has been “selectively edited” is their ability to tell the truth.

In 1989, President George H.W. Bush and former President Ronald Reagan broke the 11th Commandment: They decided to speak ill of a fellow Republican. It was an unusual decision for a few reasons, particularly because the Republican wasn’t running for a national or even a statewide election. He was campaigning for District 81’s seat in Louisiana’s state House of Representatives, a majority conservative district in suburban New Orleans.

Bush and Reagan recorded robocalls urging the good people of District 81 to reject that candidate and vote instead for his opponent, a fellow Republican, John Treen, the brother of former Louisiana Gov. Dave Treen.

But the gambit didn’t work. Voters ignored Presidents Bush and Reagan, and David Duke narrowly won the election; the former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan suddenly became one of the most powerful Republicans in Louisiana. The next year, Duke ran for the U.S. Senate, and although he lost, he managed to capture 60% of the white vote.

The year after that, in what is arguably the most important statewide election in Louisiana history, he ran for governor. The entire world paid attention. His runoff opponent was former Gov. Edwin Edwards, who had long been beleaguered by allegations of corruption. Supporters of Edwards printed out bumperstickers: “Vote for the Crook. It’s Important.”

After Coleman’s repudiation, Sen. Hyde-Smith deleted the tweet, but the internet, of course, is written in ink.

It is up for Mississippians to decide who should best represent them in the United States Senate, but just as many Republicans reluctantly pulled the lever for Edwin Edwards over David Duke in 1991, they should seriously consider the message they’re sending to the rest of the world.

Racism is morally and ultimately financially bankrupt; it’s bad for business.

Hyde-Smith Accepts $2,700 Donation from Notorious White Supremacist

By Ashton Pittman Friday, November 16, 2018 4:55 p.m. CST

JACKSON—U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith accepted a donation from Peter Sieve, a businessman in Washington state known for his white supremacist views, just days after a video published by Bayou Brief surfaced in which she says she would be “on the front row” if a supporter invited her to “a public hanging.”

Zieve donated $2,700, the max donation an individual can make, to Hyde-Smith’s campaign on Nov. 14. Progressive newsletter Popular Info first reported the donation, which came three days progressive blogger Lamar White published the video on the Bayou Brief on Nov. 11.

Zieve Paid Staff to Procreate, Called Immigrants ‘Rubbish’

The State of Washington sued Zieve in 2011 for refusing to hire Muslims at his business, Electroimpact. He required applicants to submit photos of themselves, documents show.

Amazon could make it harder for people to find affordable homes in New York and Virginia

Amazon offices will stand where there would have been affordable housing.

NOV 16, 2018, 2:05 PM

Amazon’s decision to place its new offices in New York City and Northern Virginia will likely have an effect on the affordability of homes in the area, pricing many working class families out of these areas.

On Tuesday, Amazon said its second headquarters would be located in Long Island City, which is in Queens, New York, and Crystal City, which is a part of Arlington, Virginia.

For its offices, Amazon chose two New York sites that were supposed to be residential development for middle and low-income people, and now most of those intended affordable housing units will be part of the company’s offices instead, according to Politico. Plaxall, which was going to ask to build the new homes, may still be able to use about two acres for housing, but hasn’t decided if it will yet. In any case, about 1,500 units of affordable housing will likely no longer be available.

New York City Economic Development Corporation spokesperson Stephanie Baez defended the Amazon deal and said to Politico, “Tackling the affordability crisis means building more affordable housing — but it also means creating more good-paying jobs. Development of commercial office space around Anable Basin will offset concerns about residential overdevelopment that have been expressed by some community residents.”

Amazon is expected to receive $1.7 billion in public subsidies and $500 million in capital grants from New York City and New York state. According to Curbed NY, Amazon’s initial investment in workforce development is $15 million, or less than 1 percent of the overall public subsidy.

Friends raised money for a gay college athlete after her parents disowned her. Then the NCAA called.

"The online crowdfunding webpage was organized and promoted in a manner not permitted under NCAA legislation."

NOV 16, 2018, 3:23 PM

Every time you think the NCAA has finally reached the depths of their depravity, the organization finds another way to sink lower. Earlier this year, the draconian bylaws of the governing body of collegiate sports nearly derailed efforts to provide financial support for the family of a hospitalized football player who was injured during a game, and in 2015, the organization threw the book at a homeless athlete for the crime of being homeless.

Now, an athlete who was disowned and financially cut off by her parents because she is gay is being forced to choose between her sport and her livelihood, after the NCAA caught wind of an effort by her friends to raise money to cover such luxuries as a roof over her head and edible goods.

Ah, the purity of amateurism!

Emily Scheck, a cross-country runner at Canisius College in upstate New York, had to deal with this worst-case scenario when her parents discovered, through social media, that she was dating a woman: She was told to either return home so she could receive dehumanizing, harmful, and ineffective conversion therapy, or stay at school and be cut out of their lives forever, according to a report by Outsports.

Now the NCAA is in the business "purity amateurism"...............I would sue the college and the NCAA

This is just fucked up......................

GOP Candidate Who Lost House Race Seeks To Impound Absentee Ballots

Source: Talking Points Memo

November 14, 2018 8:00 am
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A New Mexico Republican who lost her bid for a U.S. House seat is seeking to impound absentee ballots in a key county that decided the race for the Democrat, according to court documents filed late Tuesday.

In court documents filed in the 3rd Judicial District Court in southern New Mexico, Yvette Herrell asked a Dona Ana County judge to impound the absentee ballots so her campaign could inspect them.

Herrell’s lawyers cited “chain-of-custody issues and other improprieties” but didn’t give details of allegations of irregularities. In addition, the court documents claim Herrell was declared the winner of New Mexico open 2nd congressional district by some New Mexico media outlets on election night.

Some media outlets reported that Herrell was projected to win the race but rescinded that projection after Democrat Xochitl Torres Small began to close the gap and took the lead thanks to outstanding absentee ballots in Dona Ana County — a traditional Democratic stronghold.

Giuliani Takes On Strange Ukrainian Bedfellows

By Josh Kovensky
November 14, 2018 6:00 am

It wasn’t clear why Rudy Giuliani took a day in November 2017 to travel to the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.

Now, more light has been shed on Giuliani and his oddball Ukrainian associates – according to a new profile of Russian-Ukrainian oligarch Pavel Fuchs, Giuliani is working to “create a U.S. office for supporting investment in the city.” The profile was published Nov. 12 in the Ukrainian magazine Novoye Vremya.

Fuchs – known mainly for negotiating with the Trump Organization for a Trump Moscow project – has arguably been one of Giuliani’s murkiest connections in his global consulting business.

For more than a decade, the former New York City mayor has consulted for unsavory clients around the world, from a recent sojourn to Armenia to a 2004 journey to meet a Russian billionaire in the steel town of Magnitogorsk.
