Impulsive cannot be an option when nuclear weapons are involved.

It's a dangerous world.

Anyone that fears nuclear weapons in the hands of North Korea and Iran should be even more frightened with Donald Trump in control of nuclear weapons.

The truth must be very blunt.

This is no time to soft-pedal or pull punches.

Our country is under threat from within.

The lies and deception from a delusional president have successfully divided the country into partisan camps.

It is promoted by reckless, dangerous, and arrogant language meant to spark the most primitive of emotions in the supporters of this president.

These words have now led to reckless and dangerous actions in the Middle East.

We must find a way to disconnect from this train of lies and deceit or we may not survive as a nation?

What if Bernie wins?

That might be a reality we should consider?

Of course, they will call him a "Socialist". That is nothing new. He has called himself a "socialist" for many years, albeit a "Democratic Socialist" and not the kind defined by Trump and the right-wingers.

But, it doesn't really matter in our system of government at this time. Laws are created by Congress. Are they "socialist"? That is the reality that we must deal with if Bernie is the nominee.

It is very possible that Bernie will defeat the other candidates now running, including Elizabeth and Joe, and will be the Democratic nominee for President.

Do not discount this possibility and do not say that you will not vote for Bernie if your candidate does not win.

Reckless, Not Bold

Those that are standing in line to praise Donald Trump as making a "bold" move, by taking out the Iranian General, are themselves just as reckless as Donald Trump. Look Ma! Watch me juggle this nitroglycerin!

They are lizard brains. They are unable to think about the consequences of their actions. Donald Trump and his supporters are a cruel and reckless pox that are intent on doing harm to this nation and the world. The Middle East will be changed dramatically by this assassination of Soleimani.

Those "militias" that were under the control of Soleimani will no longer be under the control of Iran, Iraq, or any other country in that part of the world. They have become "free radicals", independent to create havoc as they see fit, in my opinion.

No one can predict how the Middle East will change. Whatever order that may have existed will be gone. The world is a more unstable and unpredictable place. Those that stick out their chests and brag about the boldness of Trump's actions, even while the embers from the bombs are still glowing, do not have the best interests of this nation at heart. They are reckless ideologues. They should be relegated to a more isolated place in America's consciousness.

Was it an act of war?

Or was it an act to prevent war, as Trump has said?

Are we safer today than we were a week ago?

Mr Trump has muddied and confused the situation in the Middle East.

We do not know what might arise out of this assassination?

Should it be addressed in the United Nations?

There are still a lot of questions outstanding.

It is a time for cooler heads to prevail. Threats and bellicose tweets do nothing to help the situation.

It is a time for diplomacy and statesmanship.

By this time next week, we may understand much better the gravity of this action.

The impeachment of Donald Trump is not similar to impeachment of Bill Clinton

...in any way.

Senator McConnell says "fair is fair" and calls for the same process that was used in the Clinton impeachment.

Monica Lewinsky was the main witness in the Clinton trial. It was primarily about Clinton lying under oath about sex. The charges against Donald Trump are much more serious and there are many more witnesses involved.

Clinton is not the precedent - Trump is the precedent. The fscts and evidence must be presented. McConnell cannot be permitted to cover up this investigation and trial.

The "imperfect vessel"

Evangelicals had to search deep into the Bible to find some sort of justification to support Donald Trump. Buried deep in the book of Isaiah is something about King Cyrus and how God used him to further the prophecy.

Somehow they had to reconcile their religious belief with their politics. How could the antithesis of everything that Jesus preached be the work of God? Religious or not, it strains credulity.

How could such a cruel, inhumane, unempathetic, deceitful person be so highly praised by self-proclaimed followers of Jesus? They convinced themselves that he was like King Cyrus, the "imperfect vessel" that was sent to fulfil God's prophecy.

He might as well walked around with "666" on his forehead and "false prophet" tattooed on his arms. He exhibited no Christian values at all. None. Even Hitler loved animals. Would they have seen him as an "imperfect vessel" also? Some Christians in Germany ninety years ago probably thought so.

The arrogance of these evangelicals to presuppose to know God's use of evil to rally people to do good is hypocrisy of the highest order. They may as well worship the golden calf.

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. Good is good. Evil is evil. Lies are lies. The truth is the truth. No clarity can come from the confusion of evangelicals.

When chaos overtakes chaos.

Donald Trump has ruled with chaos. There is no order, no rules, no laws, and no standards that cannot be broken. Every day is unpredictable. The only thing predictable about Donald Trump is that he will find time to golf, to tweet, and to watch FOX News. Everything else is a wild card.

Americans have become accustomed to the chaos. It has almost become "normal".

But now, the chaos has created chaos of its own and Trump does not know how to handle it. He lashes out at every perceived threat in front of him. It might be Pelosi. It might be the Democrats. It might be Iraq. It might be Soleimani. He is over-whelmed from the chaos he has created.

It is a dangerous time. The chaos that Trump has used for political advantage has now become uncontrolled chaos. He is not equipped to handle it.

The continued complicity of the Republicans is stupid.

Since the time he was campaigning for the White House, Republicans have supported his "right" to withhold his tax returns and his financial records from the public.

Evidence is stacked upon evidence that indicates he is a tool of the Russian government. Everything he has done has helped Russia and Vladimir Putin. Yet, Republicans closed their eyes and ears and refused to say anything about it.

It is becoming more clear each and every day that Trump's business interests are directly tied to Russian money. The foundation of his business, his condos and his golf courses, is built on Russian loans. He had no choice but to keep it concealed. Republicans did everything in their power to help him.

He is being extorted by Vladimir Putin. Never has he said one unkind word about the Russian leader. Because his businesses would collapse without Russian loans. He is beholden to a foreign government and the Republicans know it. He is a threat to America's national security.

Some stories have come out in recent days about a whistleblower for Deutsch Bank that is reporting billions of dollars in loans to Mr Trump from Russia. He owes his soul to them.

Republicans can no longer pretend they do not know what is happening? They are complicit and they are stupid for continuing to absolve this betrayal of America.
