Oath Keepers offer of protection for embattled Clerk Kim Davis

Don't think the Feds are going to put up with this this time. If they don't allow the law to be followed we could be seeing a lot of dead Oath Keepers and perhaps the beginning of more domestic terrorism. Kim Davis might end up dead just by being in the middle of this insanity.

The ARG Poll putting Trump ahead of Clinton is actually a good thing in my opinion

Clearly that poll is fucked. There is no way in hell Trump can win especially since he will need about 43% of the Hispanic vote and he will be lucky to get 20%. The poll over sampled home phones and under sampled cell phones and the cell phones had Clinton and Sanders up big. Also, other polls show him trailing.

However, the reason this is a good thing is it now makes Republicans think Trump is the winning choice when in reality he is probably the worst choice for them. It could really help him get the nomination. If he gets the nomination we win unless our lead candidate is caught in some devastating October surprise.

I can't stand Trump but he would probably be the best choice for Republicans

Personally I think he would be a disaster and might get us into a war or two because of his big mouth but if I had to chose between Trump and the other Republican candidates I would easily chose Trump and here is why.

1. He is for single payer HC
2. He wants to raise taxes on the wealthy and Wall Street
3. He opposes cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
4. He opposed the Iraq War
5. He is probably pro-choice even if he won't admit it now
6. There is no way in hell he is religious even though he panders to the religious right currently

On edit, here are a few more:

7. He thinks affirmative action is okay.
8. He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy)
9.He's in favor of a ban on assault weapons.

He is a fricking bigot though and I personally can't stand listening to him. It's amazing how a few racist comments can get you to the top of the GOP polls regardless of having many liberal policy ideas. That's how clueless and racist the GOP base is.

#GodHatesAdultery: Westboro Baptist church turns on Kim Davis for causing ‘F*g marriage’

Proving that there is no limit to fundamentalist Christian extremism, the ultra-conservative Westboro Baptist church has launched a crusade against Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis despite all parties being against same-sex marriage.

While Davis is sitting in jail on contempt charges for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, members of the extremist Westboro Baptist church in Topeka are threatening to go to Kentucky to protest against Davis for being an adulteress –due to having been married four times — and for causing “F*g marriage” because of her sinfulness.

Davis, who converted to Christianity four years ago maintains that she cannot issue licenses to gay couples on religious grounds, calling it a “Heaven or Hell decision.” Despite that, members of the Topeka church have launched a Twitter jihad on Davis saying she is a “phony divorced/remarried traitor to God,” and “#NotChristian.”

Poll if Biden jumps in to race

I don't know if this poll has been done yet on DU, but I am curious how the dynamic would change here if Biden jumped in. I fully support Sanders right now but I would be torn if Biden got in. My first choice would have been Elizabeth Warren but she isn't running.
