madamesilverspurs's JournalGriddle test
One of Moms kitchen tricks involved sprinkling a few drops of water on the hot griddle. If those drops skittered and danced around, the surface was just right for making pancakes. Nowadays, it seems that Republicans test their newbies in much the same way.
Used to be that you had to be around a while, had to get your sea legs before they let you take the lead on anything on the national stage. In the last few years weve watched in amazement the fastdance stylings of Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz. Now their latest skitterage is presented by one Tom Cotton, and hes managed to bring a bunch of non-newbies to bounce around on the griddle with him.
It might be time to stay away from the Senate cafeteria, the pancakes are likely to be undone and kinda runny.

Since when?!
Seriously, for those of us who reside in CD4 (which Gardner purported to represent for four years), this "eagerness" to engage is an unknown thing. Especially in Greeley and Weld County, both of which he pointedly ignored unless there was good potential for a photo op.
For those who donated to his campaign he might have been receptive. For the rest of us, emails and letters were ignored, appointments were unavailable, phone calls were not returned; and he twice relocated his office, each time making it less accessible to constituents. Then there are those he simply refused to meet with, again and again and again . . .
"Senator" Cory Gardner -- it has a nauseating ring to it for a reason.
Cross-posted from the Colorado forum. Sharing it here because the GOP has higher plans for Gardner. Be advised, the guy gives slime a bad name.
