WHAT will it take?

Trump has now removed DNI (Director of National Intelligence) and the Joint Chiefs from his security briefings. What in the world will it take for House and Senate Republicans to acknowledge that Trump is JEOPARDIZING THE SAFETY OF THE UNITED STATES?

Poison

Truman was president when I was born. Eisenhower was the first president I remember, he and Mamie seemed like everyone’s grandparents. By the time JFK came along I’d learned to pay attention, to be engaged in the discourse. Some presidents I liked, some I disliked. There have been measures of approval and disapproval. A couple of them have inspired us to be better. A couple of them angered the nation. Out of all the presidents in my lifetime, only one has horrified the world; and he took office only one week ago. And every day, tweet by tweet, executive order by executive order, he vows to continue on that path. Where most administrations at least give voice to some promise, this one has chosen to be a threat. He is turning the blessing of America into an international curse.

Stuck

He's not the president of our choosing. But we're sure as hell stuck with his consequences.

Cat reboot

Mom's white cat, Duchess, lived to the ripe old age of 23. When she passed, we knew Mom would soon follow. That said, Mom was anxious to vote and when her ballot arrived in the mail the first mark she made was next to Hillary Clinton's name. Her health went into decline a few days later, and she passed without knowing the outcome of the election. I know she would have cheered the marchers on. So, I found a picture of a white kitty and added the pink accessory. Mom would have gotten a huge kick out of it. Duchess, on the other paw, would have curled up for a nap after giving me that look.
