mikekohr's JournalThe One Line From "America The Beautiful," That Romney NEVER Sings, NEVER recites -for good reason-
Romney is fond of singing and reciting verses of the 1893 poem Pikes Peak, written by Kathy Lee Bates, that is today known as America the Beautiful. There are two lines from that poem however that he never recites, he never sings.
Till selfish gains no longer stain,
The banner of the free!
I cant help but believe that Mrs. Bates took inspiration for those lines from the example of Jesus throwing the money changers out of the Temple. Romney avoids those two lines because they are a damning indictment of his life and his vision of America. Mitt Romney is a modern day money changer looting the temple of Democracy. He is not one of us. He is not for us. He does not stand with us.
Romney was sweating like a liar during a polygraph test.
Which in fact these debates are. Willard has a history when it comes to secrecy, dishonesty and all around weirdness.
Weird Willard, from the mouth of a Massachusetts State Health Professional
Willard is weird, uncomfortable, awkward and oh so corporate. That's who he is. Last summer I sat in a seat on a plane next to a Health Professional with state government in Massachusetts. She said the Romney administration had every study done by her office cleared by Romney's office before it could be released. This never happened before, or since.
She said Romney was a "strange man" and she was very uncomfortable around him and his staff. She was stunned when he bought and destroyed the hard drives of every computer in the Governor's office when he left office. I asked her, "Isn't this what a person would do if he did not want anyone to know what went on during his administration?" She had a one word answer. "Yes."
To borrow a line from "The Great Gatsby," -The rich are different-."

Jim Sinegal, co-founder of Costco says, we need companies that plant and grow, not executives that reap and run. While men like John Mitchell and my grandfathers built this nation one shovel full at a time, Romney has made his millions tearing companies apart and outsourcing our jobs to China. Romney loves America. He does! He loves America the way a tick loves a dog. Middle Class America cant stand any more loven like that.
Mitt Romney, the son of power and privilege, was born on third base, thinking he hit a home run. His vision of America is a sugar coated, Ayn Rand, survival of the fittest philosophy of I got mine, the hell with you 47% ers.

We need a President and leaders in Congress that will represent all of America. We do not need leaders like Romney and Ryan that are ready to write off ½ the people of this nation. President Obama and our Democratic leaders in Congress will strengthen and preserve Medicare and Social Security the two most successful poverty prevention programs in history. But we should never forget that every single House Republican voted to replace Medicare with a coupon, and they will kill Social Security if they get a chance.
When Republican's Bring Up JFK's Tax Cuts, They Are Not Telling The Truth. -here it is-

So, lets set the record straight. When Kennedy cut taxes, he lowered the top marginal tax from 91% to 65%. Many congressional Republicans opposed his plan at the time, citing concerns that the treasury couldnt afford such a tax break the Republican Party used to be quite serious about fiscal responsibility, but its been a half-century but Kennedy proceeded anyway because the higher rates, instituted during World War II, were no longer necessary.
Also at the time, the country had very little debt Eisenhower, thankfully, kept taxes high throughout the 1950s almost no deficit. Fiscal conditions, obviously, are far different now.
Keep in mind, unlike contemporary GOP policy, Kennedys plan distributed peace dividends broadly across the wage spectrum. As the Joint Committee on Internal Revenue Taxation explained at the time, the bottom 85% of the population received 59% of the benefits of JFKs tax cut. The top 2.4% received 17.4% of the tax cut, and the top 0.4% received just 6% of it.Those on the right who see themselves as descendents of the Kennedy policy are either deeply confused or they assume you wont bother to learn the truth.
