Upton's JournalWhining Brian Wilson confronts Giants CEO after game..
Wilsons actions stunned Baer and Giants officials, who said they tried repeatedly throughout the season to meet with Wilson so the ring could be presented, and that he never responded, even when the Giants invited him to the ring ceremony during the first weekend of the home season. I dont know why he decided to make a show of it and air his grievance tonight, team spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said.
The Giants have tried to have a sort of mini-ceremony with former players when they get their rings, as they did in Toronto when manager Bruce Bochy gave Melky Cabrera his ring in a brief, private ceremony. That scene was repeated elsewhere.
But after tonights episode, Slaughter said, the Giants just sent the ring to the Dodgers clubhouse with instructions to deliver it to Wilson.

This guy can stick it. Another "it's all about me" Brian Wilson moment. If Giants team spokeswoman Staci Slaughter's question isn't purely rhetorical and she really wishes to know why he chose this night to make a a scene over nothing..it's because it was Tim Lincecum's final start as a Giant and because Wilson is still pissed over the Giants not picking up his option..

Harbaugh to Packers’ Matthews: "Come with some knuckles, not an open slap"...
I could see two punches thrown to Joes head -- well, one punch and one open slap, which . . . if youre going to go to the face, come with some knuckles. I think that young man works very hard on being a tough guy. Hell have some repairing to do to his image after the slap.

NFL now says Packers, not 49ers, benefitted from officials’ mistake...
In other words, if the entire play had been properly called, it would have been first-and-goal for the 49ers at the 3-yard line on the next play. Instead, the officials made it tougher for the 49ers by making them re-play third down after the offsetting penalties. The officials erred in their enforcement of the offsetting penalties, which appeared to benefit the 49ers, but in reality there never should have been offsetting penalties to enforce in the first place. Only the Packers should have been penalized.
Some may say its a moot point because the 49ers scored a touchdown on that third-down play anyway. But either way, the league has confirmed that this play was botched, in more ways than one. And because the 49ers scored a touchdown, the two wrongs equaled a right for San Francisco.

Hmm..the officials really screwed that play up, but in the long run justice was served. This should put an end to any more Packers whining...maybe Joe Buck will shut up too, though I wouldn't count on it.
Washington state approves 334 retail pot stores...
"We are making history," said Chair Sharon Foster after the three-member board voted unanimously to approve rules for the production, processing and sale of marijuana.
The board decided 334 retailers will be granted licenses by the state. Based on population, sellers in King County would be allowed the most licenses, with 61.
------
The board estimates the legal marijuana market will replace about 13 percent of the illegal market when sales begin next spring.
