Super Bowl Will Be Surrounded By Pro-Marijuana Billboards...

Welcome to Super Baked XLVIII Ö or for brevityís sake, letís just call it High V. As you know, itís the first Super Bowl between two teams from states where marijuana is legal, and of course that means the pro-marijuana factions will be out in force around MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where it is not (except for medicinal purposes).

Yeah, the graphic above will be on a billboard near Met Life on Sunday, as will the four below.

Richard Sherman fined for taunting...

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was fined $7,875 for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting in the final minute of the NFC Championship Game against San Francisco. Sherman's fine was confirmed by the league Friday.

Sherman was flagged after he made a choking gesture toward the San Francisco bench that he said was directed at quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Sherman had just deflected a pass intended for Michael Crabtree in the end zone that was intercepted by linebacker Malcolm Smith and clinched Seattle's 23-17 victory.

Sherman ran over and after tapping Crabtree on the backside and extended his hand for a handshake. Crabtree then shoved Sherman in the face. The All-Pro cornerback then made the choking gesture.

Sherman was the only player fined in the game.

Hmm..I guess the NFL didn't get the message that according to some, Sherman is now a wise philosopher and an expert in coded racial slurs..

Pastor tears through sermon to avoid missing 49ers playoff game...

49ers/Packers playoff game scores massive record ratings

Sundayís Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers NFC wild card playoff game delivered a massive 47.1 million viewers.

The 49ers victory represents the highest-rated NFL wild card game in at least 25 years on any network (1988 is as far back as the records go for an apples-to-apples data comparison ó this could very well be the biggest wild card game ever). Year-to-year, the game is up 20 percent in the ratings (a 25.8 in households) and up 24 percent in total viewers over last yearís match-up between Seattle and Washington. This is Foxís seventh most-watched non-Super Bowl event ever.

The NFL is king.

Itís Going To Be Really, Really Cold In Green Bay On Sunday..
