Trump insists he can win New York

Donald Trump renewed his vow Wednesday evening to compete and ultimately win in New York, a state that has not voted Republican in a presidential election since 1984.

“Just so you understand, we are going to play New York. You know, we’re not just doing this for fun. We’re going to play New York,” Trump told the New York Conservative Party at its convention Wednesday evening.

“We are going to play so hard and win. We are going to win this state,” he added as he wrapped up his speech. “It’s going to shock people, and by the way, you know if we win this state, it’s over. We win, OK? We win.”

Despite his promises to win the state, polls show Trump struggling in New York. The Real Clear Politics polling average for the state shows Hillary Clinton with a 19.3 percentage point lead over Trump.

No, I don't need Hillary to smile.

Being President is serious shit and I don't need warm feels to determine who is best suited for the job. I met Hillary once 24 years ago but I have no expectations of having dinner with her now. So what if she really IS grumpy, she just need to do her job.

Ms. Marvel's On-Screen Future Teased By Joe Quesada

Created in 2013, Kamala Khan is one of Marvel’s most recognizable characters these days. The Pakistani-American character debuted in Captain Marvel #13 and took over Carol Danver’s position as Ms. Marvel. And, very quickly, fans came to absolutely adore the quirky teenager. Kamala’s popularity has grown exponentially over the years as she now stars in her own comic book, cameos in the All-New All-Different Avengers, and is set to helm Marvel’s upcoming Champions series. So, it’s no surprise that fans of the teenage heroine have been begging Marvel to give the character her own on-screen debut - and now Joe Quesada has commented on whether Kamala may make that transition.

Speaking with Comic Book Resources, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer explained that all of the company’s best on-screen series are sourced from stellar comic books. “If Marvel is a wheel, comics are the hub and everything else spokes out,” he said. “Movies, TV...they’re all spokes of the wheel. If you want to know what the future is, in the movies, television, video games, animation — pick up the comics, because there’s a very good possibility that the stuff you’re reading today will eventually find itself — or a version of it — in one of our media outlets.”

“If you look at the stuff we’re producing in studios right now — Civil War, right? Civil War was 10 year ago, and here we are, it’s this huge movie. It’s the same thing in our television division — Jessica Jones was a comic, and that was more than ten years ago,” Quesada explained. According to him, comic book readers act as a litmus test that tells Marvel which of their characters and stories are doing well. So, naturally, Quesada referenced Ms. Marvel’s meteoric rise.

“They [readers] tell us something is resonating, something is hitting a core, and that’s something we should try to cultivate,” he said. “Another great example of this: Ms. Marvel. If we had put this book out ten years ago, it probably would never have succeeded. Not only did we find the audience, but we had the right people on the book and we had the right editor on the book, the right creators on the book. And now we have a character that’s very recognizable — very, very quickly. That doesn’t happen a lot.”

Quesada then went on to say, “Who knows where Ms. Marvel’s going to end up. You can be sure that, somewhere down the road, she will be a part of the future of Marvel in other media.”

Violett Beane Spotted On Set Of ‘The Flash’ In Jesse Quick Speedster Suit

For starters, set images showing Wally and Jesse together had surfaced online less than a week ago, which proves that Jesse will definitely be back earlier than we had thought. Although she wasn’t sporting a supersuit in the set images, a tweet that was posted by Canadagraphs on August 19th seems to claim different. According to the tweet, Jesse was not only on set, but she was sporting her Jesse Quick suit. Check out the tweet below:

Got an autograph tonight from #TheFlash star Violett Beane on set.
Spoiler alert.... Jessie Quick was in costume.
Sorry, no pics today.

It’s hard to believe that this tweet went over looked for more than a week due to its significance. According to the tweet, Beane would have been suited up as Jesse right around the time episodes four and five of the third season were being filmed. It is unknown if the Flashpoint timeline will still be intact at that point, or if Barry would have found a way back by then. My best guess is that in an alternate timeline Jesse and Wally both have powers, but then after the Flashpoint timeline we don’t see her again until near the end of the season.

Ha! The Shocker Spotted On ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Set

Spider-Man: Homecoming has been filming for almost three months now, but things have so far been quiet on the set of the movie in Atlanta, Georgia. However, it looks like that’s about to change. Thanks to a leaked call sheet, we’ve known for a while now that Herman Schultz, a.k.a. the Shocker (played by Fargo alum Bokeem Woodbine) will be making an appearance in the movie, but now he has finally been spotted on set.

Pennsylvania: Gone
Virginia: Gone

North Carolina: Slipping out of reach.

Needs to win Florida and Ohio and needs to turn around Michigan or Wisconsin.

Trump made millions from Saudi government: report

A Daily News investigation found that in June 2001, the GOP nominee sold the 45th floor of Trump World Tower to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for $4.5 million.

The apartments became part of the Saudi Mission to the United Nations in 2008, according to the report.

At the time of the sale, the five apartment that were sold had yearly common charges of $85,585 for building amenities, meaning Trump has been paid at least $5.7 million by the Saudi government since 2001 — if those rates stayed the same.

The Daily News investigation also found Osama Bin Laden's half-brother, Shafiq Bin Laden, lived in an apartment in Trump Tower for four months in 1986. He paid an $8,500 security deposit for the apartment.

Marvel Giant Stan Lee Approves Of Doctor Strange Movie

In just three short months, Doctor Strange will be released in theaters. Marvel fans, and superhero fans in general, have been waiting a long time for the film, which promises to show a dark-fantasy side of Marvel they’ve only barely touched with the Thor movies.

After an exciting Comic-Con trailer, Doctor Strange has quickly become the talk of the town, with the majority of comic book fans excited to see what director Scott Derickson has in store for us. Of course, there’s one comic book mega-fan who doesn’t have to wait until November to know how the movie is- Stan Lee!

The very face of Marvel himself was at Fan Expo Canada this weekend, promoting the future of Marvel entertainment with a fan Q&A. When asked about the upcoming Doctor Strange movie, Lee had nothing but kind words for the film and its director.

Stan Lee told fans that he believes in Scott Derrickson’s film, saying he thinks he did Doctor Strange right. He should know after all, Stan Lee spent most of his lifetime transforming Marvel into the powerhouse it is today. If anyone knows if a character is being done justice, it’s the person who helped create the character in the first place!

Of course, the verdict is still out on whether or not Doctor Strange will Marvel’s game changer, or if it will crash and burn. Given Marvel’s impressive film record when it comes to movies, it will most likely be the the former. But we’ll all know for sure when Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
