What famous person should you get high with?

http://www.buzzfeed.com/whitneyjefferson/quiz-what-famous-person-should-you-get-high-with

"You got: Whoopi Goldberg

Why wouldn’t you want to blaze with Whoopi? Haven’t you seen “Sister Act”? I feel like that’s all that needs to be said. “Sister Act.” I’m going to say it five more times. “Sister Act,” “Sister Act,” “Sister Act,” “Sister Act,” “Sister Act.” One more time: “Sister Act.” But I’ll only say “Sister Act 2” once."

I just want to say that...

I really wish that TV shows and movies wouldn't make snow look more glamorous than it actually is.

Before, I used to be envious of people who live in snowy areas because it never snows in my neck of the woods and our winters and Christmases/Thanksgivings are usually mild and sunny. As I hear more about the East Coast/Midwest storms on the weather channel, though, I've been slowly withdrawing my dream for it to snow out here.

How often do you say "hi" to stangers when walking around?

I usually don't make eye contact with passers-by and I don't really talk to strangers unless they talk to me first.

"Hannity regular Erik Rush calls for military coup against Obama"

More: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/01/16/hannity-regular-erik-rush-calls-for-military-coup-against-obama/

[IMG][/IMG]

Right-wing author and anti-Obama crusader Erik Rush called on members of the U.S. military to remove President Barack Obama from office.

Right Wing Watch reported Thursday that the African-American conservative and frequent Fox News commentator has realized his attempts to have Obama impeached by Congress are not going to work out, so he is changing his tack and asking for a military coup.

In a column for the far-right conspiracy website World Net Daily, Rush wrote, “Were there members of Congress with the courage to do so, ample evidence and leverage exists to quietly demand the resignation of this president and his Cabinet.”

However, since no such heroes have arisen from the Republican-led House of Representatives, “There is the possibility that certain military personnel might lend their support to an effort by Congress to remove the president through methods other than impeachment.”

Teams Don't Need a Dominating Defense to Win in the Modern-Day NFL

They just need a defense that creates turnovers.

Turnover stats:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/givetake

-Teams that led in turnover differential made the playoffs.
-Teams that were negative in turnover differential sat at home (except for SD and GB, but they were almost unable to make the playoffs, anyway).

"How FOX News Chief Roger Ailes Tried To Win Republicans The White House"

More: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/12/fox-news-roger-ailes-white-house_n_4581206.html?ref=topbar

NEW YORK -- Around 5 p.m. on Election Day 2012, Fox News chief Roger Ailes realized that Mitt Romney would not make it to the White House. "Thank you, Chris Christie," Ailes groused.

Ailes was frustrated that the New Jersey governor appeared alongside President Barack Obama days earlier to survey the damage of Hurricane Sandy. When Ailes was told polling data suggested the incident hadn't hurt the Republican Party's chances, he responded: "Well, hugging the guy couldn't help people feel good about Romney, either."

This wasn't how the race was supposed to end. During an afternoon meeting before the 2010 midterm elections, Ailes told executives he wanted "to elect the next president."

Fox News already ruled the ratings and boasts annual earnings of around $1 billion. Most network chiefs would be ecstatic. But Ailes isn’t like most –- or really, any -– other top cable news executives. A visionary in the world of political messaging on television, Ailes had advised three past Republican presidents on how to use the medium to their advantage. And now he planned to use his talents for the party once more.

"CNN Chief Trashes Fox News: 'Republican Party...Masquerading As News"

More: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/11/jeff-zucker-fox-news_n_4579420.html?ref=topbar

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — The chiefs of CNN and Fox News Channel are throwing shots at each other, each suggesting the other's network is essentially out of the news business.

Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes struck first, saying in an interview published this week that it was interesting for CNN "to throw in the towel and announce they're out of the news business." It was a reference to CNN President Jeff Zucker's efforts to expand CNN's offerings beyond breaking news.

"We happen to be in the business, as opposed to some other fair and balanced network," Zucker responded at a news conference on Friday.

He suggested that Ailes' remarks, published in the Hollywood Reporter, were silly and an attempt to deflect attention from "The Loudest Voice in the Room," a book on Ailes and Fox by New York magazine writer Gabriel Sherman that is being published this month.

"Why Is It Still So Taboo For a Woman To Date A Shorter Man?"

More: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-life/10180288/Why-is-it-still-so-taboo-for-a-woman-to-date-a-shorter-man.html

At just under 5ft 10in, I consider myself a tall woman. The average male in England is 5ft 10in, while the typical female is a mere 5ft 5ins, so you could say I’m well over average height for my gender. What’s worse, according to statistics, half the men in the country are my height or shorter. When it comes to dating, that makes the chances of finding a potential boyfriend slimmer than most – if, like me, you care about finding a man who's taller than you.

But why does height even matter? Surely I should be able to embrace the possibility of having a boyfriend who is shorter than me? And if I can't, why can't I?

A long long time ago, when men and women were considered to have very specific male and female "duties" – to be a hunter-gatherer (men), and to look after the kids (women), you could say it was almost necessary for the men to be bigger so they were able to successfully carry out said duties.
