I really really hate the MSM....Rewarding trump for skipping out in a debate...they love their horse race and who is winning narrative, but it has really hurt our democracy and part of the reason we have trump as potus.....of course they will win the ratings over ABC because the right wing will flock their to boost it and give trump a talking point that he will love
republicans cheat
And they are good at projection, so when they say that there is cheating going on in Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston etc...To me that means they are cheating in rural areas where there isn't a Democrat to be found. So my question is, who is there in rural Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, etc.. to make sure that they aren't fudging the numbers?
But, but where would it end
"If the Democrats expand the SCOTUS, who is the say the Republicans won't expand it when they get the majority?"
I keep hearing people saying this. And supposedly it's "fair" people like Dan Abrams. My answer to that is, so what. Maybe that is a good thing if the SCOTUS grows. I think that would lead to a few outcomes.
#1 I think the more judges, the less likely we will get those partisan decisions that come down to 5-4 split that we have seen over the last 30 years.
#2 It won't matter as much when a Justice dies in office or we are hoping that they can just hang in there just a little longer.
#3 Maybe if its gets big enough, everyone including the American people can be like "ok guys this is getting ridiculous, maybe we really needed some court reform (i.e age limits, mandatory retirements, etc...)
"packing" the court doesn't poll well
Or so I keep hearing. Guess what else didn't poll well (holding up the Garland nomination and now rushing Barrett through). But Republicans in the Senate have the right attitude in "We know it isn't popular, but Fuck it, we are going to do it any way while we have the power" And that is the difference between Dems and Reps. When we are power we are scared to take action because of what the public thinks. That why we had a watered down stimulus bill in 2009 and a watered down ACA in 2010. The point is, parties are always going to pay a political price for decisions, but you have to do all you can when you are in the majority.
I just early voted in Texas and here are my observations
Early voted in a red city/county (Garden Ridge/Comal County) outside of San Antonio.
#1 A LOT of Biden signs at the polling location and very few trump signs (Trump did have the biggest sign there though). In 2016 I did not see one Clinton sign and there were waaay more Trump signs then.
#2 Longer than usual line. Not anything drastic like in Georgia, but definitely longer than usual. Matter of fact, an entitled Trumper lady came out complaining. I was thinking to myself, "lady, try living in urban Georgia!" It took me an hour and a half to vote, usually I am in and out in 20 minutes.
#3 Like I said, this is a red county so there was a good amount of Trumpers in the line, but I saw a lot of people of color in the line and others that I would presume are voting blue (example - white guy with shirt that said wear your mask and back up). And I don't believe in the "shy Trump voter myth" because those were the people who were carrying on loud political conversations while we waited in line. There were quite a few of what Trump would call "suburban housewives" having fun and taking photos with the Biden signs. That actually shocked me because I prejudged them as being Trumpers.
#4 Disappointed that there were about 5 offices where the Republican was running unopposed (Sherriff, county commissioner, tax collector, Attorney, and a judge)
what good is raising a lot of money
Serious question so please don't give me any sarcastic ass responses. I mean McGrath and Harrison have raised all this money, but don't have anything to show for it in the polls. Especially McGrath, but even Harrison is now slipping (Ironically after raising a lot of money and a poor debate performance from Lindsey Graham).
Boat load of Morning Consult Polls this morning
POTUS and Senate....mostly good, but some bad. Disappointed in what I saw on the Senate side (South Carolina, Georgia, Texas)....Also, I am thinking Ohio has become more than Georgia and Texas....And what is up with Minnesota?

Pollsters have sucked at Florida
Hell, it looks like it is best to go into Election Day without the lead.

Trump "beating" the virus
Will cause his supporters to even be more reckless than they have up to this point. I.e. the Sanford rally tonight. But they didnt realize that unlike Trump, they arent going to have access to the same medical treatment
Every Democrat on the committee should start their statement with
Its sad that our priority is rushing through this nomination, but leader McConnell hasnt passed a COVID relief bill in months.
