And if they want to site the founders, the founders expected you to present your arms for muster. To me that says the founders felt perfectly OK with regulating guns.
I am honored and humbled
The mother of a friend died. I've been asked to be a nurse at the funeral. I am so humbled by this request. I have been to funerals before and observed the role of the nurse but never participated myself.
My friends moms illness was sudden and quick. A matter of weeks between diagnosis, coming home, going into hospice and dying. I sat with her mom several times when my friend and her family were having difficulty juggling their schedules and trying to keep mom home and tended to.
Tomorrow I will go out and buy my white uniform, shoes,stockings and nursing cap and prepare a bag to hold supplies to nurse the family through the service. I can't tell you how touched I am.
I'm an atheist and they are aware of that but I've always held cultural death rituals in reverence after being a hospice nurse years ago.
The Donald needs midol this morning
His comment that megyn Kelly was hormonal due to her menstrual cycle has gotten him alot of fake outrage on the right this morning. I don't think he should be banned from any right-wing loon event. He's their front runner. He represents the GOP. Let the Donald speak.
Give Bernie some respect, the guy isn't an idiot
1st off, I lean towards Hillary. I'll get that out of the way in full disclosure.
I see comments by Bernie supporters about the blm protest and come to the conclusion they aren't giving Bernie the credit he does deserve. I can't believe that in decades of political and activist life that Bernie's feelings would be so hurt by one disruption at an event that he would turn off dialogue to an important voting block. Seriously he may have been irritated but some of you are claiming blm is burning their bridges. Are you kidding? I give Bernie some credit here. He protested, he got in people's faces to be heard, he made people uncomfortable, he shouted, he pushed causes.
I like the guy but this goes for the rest of them too, the dem party is not owed anyone's vote. The candidate that does something about it will win.
Trump must provide his medical records.
The poor man must be terribly to have gotten that medical deferment. How do we know he can perform the duties of the president?
Celebrating marriage
My Facebook erupted with joy from my nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. My daughter, her friends, their kids because now we have regular marriage with no qualifier or other description required. This is the future. What a wonderful day.

Man in Richmond threatens black church
I can't link to the story. White man threatened to kill people yesterday at a bible study in Richmond. He was taken to a hospital not jail. For a psych eval.
I'm thinking white people may want to ask their black friends if we should join them in protecting their churches. I'm an atheist so I don't go to church services but I would go to stand with my friends. We need to put our lives out there to stop this.
