A clarification on twump's "THANK YOU" tweet.

We don't really know what he is thinking, so some speculation and conjecture?

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/836933725602656256

But it becomes clear at his "official" POTUS twitter account. He's thanking his own employee - Dan Scavino, Jr. - who manages social media for him! The White House bubble remains intact!

Trump tweets: Media not reporting national debt decrease

Take a "fact" and twist it like a pretzel.

Trump's numbers appear to be from a Treasury Department website that lists total outstanding public debt on a day-by-day basis. Pro-Trump conservative blog Gateway Pundit cited the website's numbers in a post Thursday touting Trump and blasting Obama.

Less than a month after his inauguration in 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, an economic stimulus package costing $831 billion. The law, a response to the economic recession a year before, was primarily focused on saving jobs and creating new jobs.

The New York Times wrote in February 2009 that Obama banned four accounting gimmicks that President George W. Bush had been using to make deficit projections look smaller, in an effort at transparency. The move had the effect of making spending appear to balloon to a larger degree than was true.

Trump’s tweet came less than an hour after former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, appearing on Fox News, said the national debt fell $12 billion. Reporters have noted that Trump often seems to tweet about a new topic shortly after a cable news segment features it.

"Mr. Precedent" finally leashed?

No new tweets "at real dt"?

Meet Dan Scavino, Jr., lurking Assistant to the President and Social Media Director.

@POTUS just went hot today (multiple tweets!), with a disclaimer!

Working on behalf of the American people to make our country great again. Tweets by @Scavino45. Tweets by #POTUS signed -DJT.

Lots of 'plausible deniability' around "Who posted that?"

Now, this feels like a twump tweet on rational edit, with Bannon/Priebus clip attached!

How long will it last?

Trump Waste Of Taxpayer Money Sets A New Record With 4th Weekend Trip To Florida

Source: PoliticusUSA, by Jason Easley

President Trump will once again spend the weekend at his Florida private club, as his 4th straight taxpayer funded trip will set a record by spending more money on travel in a month than former President Obama spent in a year.

Ken Vogel of Politico reported that Trump is heading back to Palm Beach, FL to meet with donors, “The party’s biggest donors are gathering in Palm Beach for a retreat organized by the Republican National Committee, and the president has been announced as the featured speaker, according to people with knowledge of the plans. A number of senior administration officials will also attend the retreat, the people familiar with the planning said, a key draw for the donors.”

Taxpayers will now be paying for Donald Trump and senior administration officials to meet with Republican donors in Florida. It is not a coincidence that the RNC is holding the donor retreat on the weekend in the same city as Trump’s private club.

When makes President Trump makes his fourth trip to his club in Florida, he will have spent more money on those trips alone ($13 million) than former President Obama spent during an entire year on travel ($12.1 million).

"In the 34 days so far, we've counted 133 false or misleading claims."

Day 34 of pathological liar.

“Oh, of course. And I do it — wherever I get a chance, I do it.”

Since his presidential campaign, Trump was asked repeatedly to address anti-Semitic incidents and other racial or religious harassment incidents. As The Fix blog found, many of his answers left something to be desired.

Donald Trumps unbroken streak of falsehoods now stands at 33 days

Source: Washington Post, by Chris Cillizza

Donald Trump has been president for all or part of 33 days. He has averaged four falsehoods or misleading statements a day(!) in that time. There hasn't been a single day of Trump's presidency in which he has said nothing false or misleading.

That data, which comes from a terrific new project from The Post's Fact Checker that seeks to document Trump's statements in the first 100 days of his presidency, is stunning. This chart, in particular, stood out to me:

*****

What this Fact Checker project affirms is that Trump has changed nothing in his approach to the truth since being elected president. During the course of the campaign, nearly two-thirds of his claims that The Post's fact-checking team looked into were rated Four Pinocchios — meaning that they were found to be totally and completely false. By comparison, 14 percent of Clinton's fact-checked statements received four Pinocchios.

Florida Man: Trump spends 25% of first month in SunshineState

Those who know him best...

At noon, President Donald Trump completed his first 31 days in office.

That’s 744 hours.

Trump has spent 186.5 of those hours in Florida — 25 percent of his time as president. Most of the time was logged in and around his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, but Trump also took side trips within the state to Tampa and Melbourne.

There have been several golf course visits, but it hasn’t been all leisure time.

The White House said Trump interviewed candidates for national security adviser and strategized on an Obamacare replacement Sunday while he was at Mar-a-Lago and his Trump International Golf Club. On Feb. 11, Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe golfed and conducted an al fresco dinner strategy session to respond to a North Korea missile test. There have been phone calls from Mar-a-Lago to a variety of world leaders.

Trump has spent three of his first five weekends as president at Mar-a-Lago. His current stay is expected to end later today.
