AP News Update: A recent conspiracy has raised its ugly head in the White House today. Mysterious and disturbing reports are coming in about WH aides supposedly using president Donald Trump's personal toothbrush to clean the executive toilet. Persons close to the president have confirmed that the toothbrush does seem unusually "wet" in the mornings. This story is developing.

I DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE INVESTIGASHUN!!!!
April 25th 12am
Don't worry Mr President, sir, I'll get right on it!
May 5 10am
Frankly, this conspiracy theory doesn't have any merit. It is not based in reality.
May 10th 3pm
I promise you, Mr President, if the FBI knew anything we would certainly fill you in. We do not have a shred of evidence!

Mr. Trump, I just have a few questions about certain dealings you had with the U.A.E.
Go ahead and ask. I'm not hiding anything. I'd tell you if I was colluding. Most people say, did you know this, that I'm the best president ever in the history of all historical time. You don't get that if you, you know, lie about stuff like working with Russ... it's all a big witch hunt anyway.
Um, Mr. Trump, if I could just stop you there and ask this one question. Did you ever have dealings with anyone from the U.A.E specifically with regard to getting help with the election?
U.A.E. what's that anyway? Does anyone even know what that is? I mean, how do you even spell that? It sounds made up.
Mr. Trump, I assure you the U.A.E. is not made up. It is an acronym for the United Arab Emirates. Now please answer the question: Did you ever have contact with a Mr. Zamel from the U.A.E. with regard to the 2016 election?
No! You are the one who had secret dealings with U.F.O.s and camels! You did it, and my good friend, Sean told me all about last night over the phone after I went to bed and was eating a beautiful piece of chocolate cake. You know my new chef... because the last one retired or something....couldn't even make a decent Mc Donalds style cheeseburger the way I wanted it. But he used to make the best cake in the world. I told him we should go into the cake business. He makes the cakes and I allow him to write "Trump" with orange frosting...he wouldn't go for it. Loser! Pathetic! I was only going to charge a %60 royalty on sales because that's what my brand is worth now...don't believe me? Look at what Forbes says. It's all there in the latest issue. I'm in all the best magazines.
Sigh! This is going to take a very, very long time...

Hello and welcome to another press conference. Please feel free to ask my anything. I'm always happy to oblige the press corps!
I have a question! Why did the president refer to his wife as "Melanie" in a tweet?
Oh great, it's another question by Jim!
Well Jim, have you ever heard of "auto correct"? It's a feature on cell phones nowadays.
So you're saying the president of the United States doesn't have time to read over a tweet that he is about to make public and check to make sure his wife's name is spelled correctly?
You're words, Jim. Those are your words, not mine! And those are vicious lies you are spreading.
I just want to get this straight for the majority of Americans who hate the president's guts. So the president is not present in the hospital during her surgery or immediately thereafter, doesn't even send her a card, and now cannot be bothered to make sure her name is spelled properly in a tweet?
Don't worry Sarah! I'll take care of this bum!

Racist NY Attorney Schlossberg Has A Complaint Filed Against Him...By Congressman
This was posted in a Buzzfeed article about Schlossberg, but I think the news is important enough to stand on its own.

I'm not reading anything about violent means to end the Jewish state. Protest, yes. Intifada, no. These people have a very good understanding of the situation, much better than a certain orange tinged person I can't mention.
How Palestinian youth would solve the conflict with Israel
https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/palestinian-youth-solve-conflict-israel-180513082211016.html
On the 70th commemoration of the Nakba, Al Jazeera spoke to young Palestinians, asking them what they think the solution is to what has been dubbed the world's most intractable conflict.
Marah Maghamsi, 21, family expelled from the village of Mjadel, now living in Nazareth
The solution to this conflict is to get rid of colonialism and establish one state. We want a state for all its citizens. A state that can guarantee the return of the refugees. A state that can preserve our culture, history and Canaanite civilisation, that respects the suffering we underwent as a people from Ottoman, to British, to Israeli colonialism.
snip...
Adam Hamayel, 28, from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank
I think there can be some kind of coexistence between the two sides based on laws and rights. There should be red lines that can't be crossed. I think this would benefit both Palestinians and Israelis, so there can be some kind of stability in the region, individuals can have their rights and live their lives far from difficulties, and we can overcome the obstacles of violence and lack of stability and the bad economic situation.
snip...
Ezz Odeh, 19, from Nazareth
I personally believe we can all live together in one state. The refugees must return to their homes, as per all human rights conventions. We must learn from the experiences of other countries, such as the South African experience. We must also have a measure of human rights and raise popular pressure to really create this one state.

DUers, Have You Ever Confronted A Stranger Face to Face About Their Racism?
This story about a person calling the cops on a family BBQ and subsequent vid from a white woman following the racist cop caller around has me thinking about how often (or not) this actually happens. So, if you have one, share your story.
Note: Social media interactions do not count.

Misanthropic manager wanted for Starbucks Philadelphia location.
It Turns Out, That Cop-Calling Starbucks Manager Called 911 Dozens of Times
https://www.theroot.com/it-turns-out-that-cop-calling-starbucks-manager-might-1825961895
It turns out that Holly Hylton, the Starbucks manager who is also a finalist for the whitest name of all time, might also be the person behind a curious uptick in 911 calls from the same Philadelphia Starbucks location where two black men were kicked out for making Hylton uncomfortable by existing. Hylton mutually agreed to end her employment after she called the cops on the two men.
According to the Philadelphia Tribune, in all of 2016, emergency operators received 11 calls from that particular Starbucks franchise. But that would soon change when the coffee retailer hired a new employee in early 2017.
After Hylton became an employee at the location, the Starbucks made 41 emergency calls in 2017 and has made another 17 so far this year. (It looks like Hylton really increased her production numbers.)
Patrick Duff, a local activist, asked for the records after he heard Hyltons 911 call. For her to be so calm and so cavalier and say, I have two gentlemen in my store and they refuse to buy something or leave, it made me think that there was more to it, he explained, the Tribune reports. It almost sounded as if she made that call 20, 30 or 40 more times.
