About Me

I was practically born a member of the Democratic Party. I began registering people to vote while still in elementary school, often after Sunday school. I'm excited about the future of our party because good, in the end, always wins!

Freedom for my body, mind, and spirit.

This song has inspired me since my childhood days. The song is simply titled, "Freedom". It's a song by various female artists from the 1995 released movie, Panther. You'll see and hear big names like Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, TLC, and others. I sometimes feel that the complexities of the women's movement are just glossed over. Sisterhood and strengthening our connections across racial, social, and economic lines is crucial to the movement going forward. Be encouraged and stay lifted, sisters.
Freedom for my body. Freedom for my mind. Freedom for my spirit.

Freedom

An oldie, but a goodie! All this talent on one track...... it's almost too much! Be uplifted, my brothers and sisters!

Represent, young Naomi.

I have nothing to add. I'm just lifting up her message.

This.....Represent, young sister!

There's nothing for me to say. I'm just hoping to help Naomi shine!

More State Sanctioned Murder

The next time someone suggests, tongue in cheek or not, that more African Americans need to walk around with guns......remember this story. The "gun" was a cellphone this time. It has been a wallet in other incidents. The rules are always different for us. That's just how the country was founded. Sadly, it continues to be the modus operandi.

Thank you Symone Sanders!

As usual, Symone Sanders brings the truth. In this clip she expresses the concerns of many in the Black community concerning the current gun debate. She begins near the 4:00 minute mark. Listen and enjoy!
Apologies in advance if someone has already posted this clip.

In light of things going on......

The emcee says it all.......
