Orange Free State
Orange Free State's JournalPray for me.
I am trying to be strong.
I will be in DisneyWorld next week, and am trying to resist the temptation to rush and tackle Robotrump in the Hall of Presidents. If you hear of that happening, it was likely me.
May need to do a GoFundMe for bail and legal defense.
All read-The next step is the special election in Pennsylvania
This is a heavily Republican Gerrymandered District, but we have a good candidate running in Conor Lamb. Here is a link to his website. If you can help in any way, please do so and let us know what you did.

Upcoming Pa-18 Special Election
No one is talking about this so I thought Id start a discussion.
This district is safely Republican, and I think it is not possible to take it. The incumbent (who resigned under typically Republican tawdry circumstances) didnt even have Democratic opposition the last few elections. Latest polls say R+12 I think, and that is probably how it will end up. It is carefully drawn to include none of the Democratic voting Pittsburgh metro area, and include Greene County (aka North Mississippi) and Westmoreland County. This seat was once held by Rick Santorectum, and thats just about all you need to know.
No doubt Trump will show up, utter a few syllables and declare that his endorsement made the difference.
Official list of Shithole Nations
Trump is denying that he used that term, so naturally I am waiting for the audio to confirm that he did. Anyway, does anyone know of an official list of Shithole Nations? If not, we can nominate some here. I suggest that we use bigly unemployment and poverty, lack of the best colleges or college, lots of people of color (other than orange, which is OK), and lack of cofveve as our yardsticks. Lots of morans should also be taken into account. Here are my suggestions to start things off:
Mississippistan
Alabamia
Louisianata
West Virginistan
OK DU, dont fail me. I know you can come up with a few more!
Issa bails out!
Darrell Issa is not running for re-election! Last race was close and Hilary won his district. Day-um!
So I am on Page 151 of Fire and Fury
And my main impression of the Trump White House is that having Bannon, Kushner, and Priebus all there was a case of too many scorpions in the same terrarium. I think Kushner prevailed because he is family. My main impression of Trump is that his thought processes run about as deep as pee on a hot sidewalk.
BTW, lets all buy a copy so it can be number 1 on the Amazon book sales list and torture that orange idiot. I got mine at Wal-Mart.
Name for the Trump era......
Since the Kennedy era was called Camelot, what should the Trump era be called? Golfalot? Tweetalot? Eatalot? Any votes or ideas?
Could the yuuuge turnover of the White House staff
actually be deliberate, orchestrated by Bannon to keep the cabinet disoriented so that there is no chance that the 25th amendment could be used to try to remove Trump? If they keep changing, it would be hard for those in favor of it to know who is for and who is against.
Sounds far out, but Bannon is that Machiavellian. He never really left.
I imagine White House insiders will have very interesting stories to tell when the smoke clears.
I have been reviewing Watergate. How do you think this will play out?
https://m.I lived through that as a teenager, and reviewed it to determine the similarities between Watergate and Russiagate.
Three differences that come to mind are 1) Nixon had been in office a lot longer than Trump when the fertilizer struck the ventilator, and the glow of new possibilities of his presidency had long gone away. He ran on ending the Vietnam War, and hadnt done that, so the American public may have been more primed to turn on him, and 2) there was a Democratic Congress. At this time, Trumps party rules congress, and they are more likely to let the matter die if Trump kills the investigation. 3) Nixon was much smarter than Trump, but perhaps more vindictive. Trump is way more delusional, thinks things are true and real by virtue of the fact that he said them. Trump lives in a bubble. If he can no longer govern, he may just pretend everything is fine and tweet and go golfing. I doubt that there is a Barry Goldwater figure who can go as an emissary to tell Trump he is done.
Does anyone have a feel for how this will end? Resignation? Impeachment? If 2018 is kind to the Democrats, my vote goes for impeachment.
What do you think?
