ScratchCat's JournalOh, that explains it. They gave Trump a different IG Report
Trump tweeted in response to FBI Director Christopher Wray's comments on the report:
I dont know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasnt the one given to me, Trump tweeted. With that kind of attitude, he will never be able to fix the FBI, which is badly broken despite having some of the greatest men & women working there!
Wray also told ABC on Monday that the inspector general did not find political bias or improper motivations impacting the opening of the investigation or the decision to use certain investigative tools during the investigations. He rejected characterizing the bureaus work as that of the deep state a term Trump has used.
I think thats the kind of label thats a disservice to the men and women who work at the FBI who I think tackle their jobs with professionalism, with rigor, with objectivity, with courage, he said. So thats not a term I would ever use to describe our workforce, and I think its an affront to them.

Now it makes sense. Like intelligence reports, they didn't give him the actual, real one!
Lindsey heard the tapes
I've been told Lindsey Graham has heard the tapes that Gulliani's henchman provided and that is why he has had this "change of heart" and brought up "censure" over impeachment. He has seen the writing on the wall and knows other (R)'s in the Senate will convict.
Take it for what its worth.
Why has the format changed in the threads?
Why are the pop culture links/adds/pics popping up between the posted article and the responses instead of at the very bottom of the page? This is beyond annoying and makes this site borderline unuseable. It makes no sense to do that.
Calls for Resignation Must Begin Now
The Democrats need to take complete control of the narrative and call for Trump's resignation. This needs to be framed that his lack to do so is what will hurt the country and we need to demand that all Americans join the call. Nobody can defend this at this point. I suspect many Republicans will jump ship before the weekend is over.
Reply/Login Question
When you attempt to reply to a post, and are not logged-in, it makes you log in first; But why does it not take you back to the thread you were trying to reply to once you've logged in?
This is very annoying and I can't recall a single other forum where it is programmed like this. There's no reason to log in unless you are going to reply or start a discussion, so I always have to go find the thread again when I try to reply and have to log in. It would be much simpler if it returns you to the discussion thread you were in once you log in.
I understand this forum has been around for a long time, but that is something I thought would have been changed long, long ago. Am I missing something and there is a reason for this?
Thanks!
Is the NYAG Our Only Savior Left?
Barr's comments confirm that he intends to obstruct the other Federal investigations related to Donald Trump. This means we are unlikely to see indictments against anyone else associated with Trump.
The NYAG is not prevented from indicting Trump by any policy or law. Is this where we are? Is our only hope that AG James gets the goods on his financial crimes and indicts him for State tax fraud? Its looking like this is our only hope because the Senate GOP wont remove Barr if the House impeaches him, and Barr wont let any other prosecutions go forward. The GOP can't run Trump in 2020 if he is facing State felony charges, its just not tenable. Is she the only savior we have?
Did Mueller possibly "recuse" himself from the indictment decision?
A friend brought this up.
Remember when Trump was tweeting about Mueller being "conflicted" and would never give any details except some claim about a golf course fee dispute many years ago? Is it possible that - out of an abundance of caution - Mueller decided that he would not give Trump an opportunity to have the charges dropped with a favorable judge based upon the claim that Mueller was "biased" and that's why he "punted" on the decision? Did Trumps lawyers tell him if he indicted Trump or family they would fight it "to the end" and use his "conflicts bias" to ruin him and his family? Did he think Rosenstein would ultimately make the decision?
There has to be a legit reason Bob Mueller didn't ask for an indictment. I do not think he simply through his hands in the air and said "its equal on both sides". Further, when Barr says Mueller gave "evidence on both sides", I assume the only "evidence" Mueller referred to that would be in Trump's favor is the technical stuff like the President having the legal right to fire the FBI director, AG, etc. This is where Barr is probably being completely misleading on the obstruction bit.
I want to remind everyone about something Barry McCaffrey said
Reluctantly I have concluded that President Trump is a serious threat to US national security. He is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks. It is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of Mr Putin.
Barry R McCaffrey (@mccaffreyr3) March 16, 2018
He has to be one of the most staunch conservative, "anti-Hillary" types out there. I can't think of one "left of center" position he would agree with. But even the former General has the guts to admit what everyone with eyes can see.
