HaHa: Target Didnt Intend-The Prairie Dress Challenge

I needed a laugh, and this did it.
Work in the womens fashion field, in design and......this was a miss. So funny. Check out all of the pics.
I have to say the men look great.
New rule. If you can put a bonnet on and it matches the prairie dress, maybe the design was too literal.

February-10 Livingrooms where Fireplaces Rules

Looking for a nice visual to break up the news? I had to search out good, zen news tonight.

Dezeen has a Lookbook page for interesting and architecturally stunning interiors.
Colorful kitchens
The Swimming Pools (if you are sitting in a pile of snow) I found particularly nice.

Deposit down on 1st Tour--Investigating Retiring Abroad

Made it today.
Checking out Panama. It's for August 2022! Tried for February & March, but they sold out in minutes.

I have a list of countries. Obviously got to none of them in 2020. Am on a wait list for a tour in 2021, hoping that may work.
I feel behind in my reconnaissance, but have plenty of time.

Always "Zen"- Zi Liqi Cooking Videos Got Me Thru 2020

Enjoy. This is the most satisfying, most relaxing, beautiful and motivating channel on youtube.

Discovered it a year ago. Please give it a try. Maybe she's been mentioned here, but wanted to share, in case.

Zi Liqi went home to help her grandparents on their farm (they raised her). She can grow and cook anything. She takes care of her grandmother. It is so heartwarming. Also, her skills are unparalleled.
This is the Life of Corn. But the choices of topics are endless. The comments are people around the world. If I'm ever feeling down, I watch a video.
But it makes me hungry! [link:

Edward Scissorhands Set-How a FL Neighborhood Transformed

Long, very descriptive article on how Tim Burton transformed a neighborhood in Florida to make Edward Scissorhands. Long before CGI. The committment and craft is impressive.

[link:"How They Made It: The Pastel Suburbs of ‘Edward Scissorhands’ - The Ringer" https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/movies/2020/12/14/22173289/edward-scissorhands-neighborhood-florida-how-they-made-it|

Once the deals—including a few eleventh-hour holdouts—had been struck, the art department could get to work. Welch and Duffield became familiar with the neighborhood, taking pictures of exteriors and bringing development blueprints back to Los Angeles, where they constructed small model replicas of the subdivision. To determine the color scheme of the homes, Duffield remembers using Necco wafers as a reference point, adapting the candy’s pastel yellows, pinks, and blues to act as his base. “We wanted to make a statement in color, but not so strong that it took you out of the movie,” Duffield says, “[like] if Leningrad tried to copy an American suburban housing development.”

In late winter of 1989, Tinsmith Circle began its makeover. Local painters brushed over the homes’ neutral tones as construction workers put foam-core diamond coverings over the aluminum garage doors and slimmed down large, front-facing windows, erasing “any details that made it look more than just a generic-looking house,” Duffield says. The cars followed a similar pattern. Inspired by books such as Bill Owens’s Suburbia, Welch brought in small, oddball 1970s vehicles such as the Pacer, Gremlin, and Duster, and Duffield’s team painted them in corresponding complementary colors.....
