Biophilic's JournalI'm so angry I'm on the verge of tears and I'm just so discouraged and frustrated.
My home page is AOL. I just signed on the main page is a hit piece on Biden with all sorts of "people in the administration" saying that he's done etc. It's a friggin hit piece. He's being lynched and I don't see what I can do. If they do this to him than I don't see how our democracy can recover even if a Democrat wins the election. It's no longer a government by the people. They aren't even trying to cover it up. The Oligarchs friggin win and we the people and the constitution and the principles that we have at least tried to live by lose.
Some one said that people are worried about Biden not being a strong campaigner and that's worrying people.
I don’t think Biden should be our main strength on the campaign trail. For one thing he still has to put a certain amount of time into running the country. But more importantly we have some extraordinarily strong issues to pursuade people with. 1)Abortion and contraception rights. 2). Women’s rights. 3). Climate change. 4). Christian Fascism 5). Project 2025. 6). Not to mention the horror that is trump. Yeah I know I’ve forgotten others.
Let Joe run the country and make some campaign appearances, but send others out to ring the warning. There are a lot of people who are really good at campaigning, ie Bernie Sanders. Let them carry part of the load.
If Biden is taken out I know I will loose a lot of my enthusiasm. I won’t quit because the things I mentioned above scare me to death, but my enthusiasm will be gone.
I realized something today. I really don't hate trump. He's a buffoon.
I really, really hate Mike Johnson, the Federalists judges on the SC, and others like them. Trump is in this strictly for himself. The others, they have long term plans to destroy American democracy and anyone who gets in their way. Trump just wants to be king for a bit. The others want to reign down terror and realize zealotry on the rest of us. Trump wants to seek revenge on a few people. The others want retribution on the rest of us. They are using trump, not the other way around. They are way more dangerous. Trump is a flash in the pan that they are using. The Heritage Foundation, the republicans, the Federalists have been working towards this for decades. Trump doesn't scare me nearly as much as the others do.
Wow, just wow. I got through my reading on DU very quickly this morning. Only a few threads worth reading.
I don't know about many of you, but I'm not voting for a clever debater, I'm going to vote for a clever president. I'm voting for good government, not a good show. Now I know that many people in this country love a good show best, but the Democrats job now is to reach people with the message that good government is way better for them than a good show. Watch TV if you want a good show. But quit moaning because our man has been busy governing all over the friggin world rather than putting on good shows for the crowds.

I just heard a truly wonderful/sad idea that I wish I'd heard of decades ago..
My neighbor had to put her long time (13 years) puppy down. She and her friend realized that they could feed her puppy how ever much Hershey Kisses as he wanted while it was happening. Damn, I truly wish I'd thought of this myself. Just thought I'd pass this idea along to others to use or not as it works for them.
Just got back from an errand. I debated whether to post this, but find I must.
It’s possible to make a Tesla truck uglier. I saw it both sides of my trip. Coming at me I realized some idiot had attached horns from a Texas long horn in front. That was weird enough. On the return trip the “truck” was parked so that I could see the right side. There were perhaps 50 bullet sized dents in the back left door. So cool. 😃🌞
must be to show how stupid er strong it was. Some place our gene pool went way too close to the noxious chemical pool. Good grief.

I've just been sitting here thinking about how weird it is that we have 'rules of war.' At this point in history, I'm grateful that there are some, but still I'm appalled that the human species has 'agreed' to them. When you think it about it, it's odd. we're suppose to be the ultimate species on this planet and yet the best we can do is sometimes abide by 'rules' for warfare.
Yes, I believe there are some wars that simply need to be fought, but damn, is that the best we can do? I guess I'll keep humming and praying that sometime, in the generations to follow, people will finally "agree to put an end to war." Please, maybe, sometime...
