https://abovethelaw.com/2024/12/united-healthcare-using-dmca-against-luigi-mangione-images-which-is-bizarre-wildly-inappropriate/Someone purporting to be United Healthcare is filing DMCA requests to scrub the internet of artists depictions of the surveillance video of Luigi smiling, parody merchandise of Deny, Defend, Depose, and other merchandise showing the alleged shooter.
If it is really the health insurer filing these notices, it wildly oversteps any legal rights the company might have, but if theres any company willing to preemptively breach the law and dare the other side to spend their limited resources trying to protect their rights it would be a health insurer.
FAA Says Drones are potential "Imminent Threat'
Seems a bit much for planes and stars, huh?
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ban on drone operations in several areas of New Jersey until Jan. 17, unless operators are granted special permission from the government due to "special security reasons."
Senator Tim Kaine on Drones- '"we're shocked at the amount of stuff that they don't know"'
https://www.askapol.com/p/sen-kaine-says-govt-behind-on-dronesWe have a more in-depth briefing later this week [Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Mark] Warner and I and the Virginia delegation on, Okay, a year after Langley, like, what can you tell us? And what can't you? If there's stuff you don't know, they don't know it for a year,
"Our federal government has no idea, no clue, no reliable information about these drones."
That's from Senator Blumenthal, after the classified briefing for members of the Intel Committee.
Just planes and stars, though , right?.
Senator Gillibrand- We Don't Know What Technology Drones Are Using
https://x.com/AdamGoldsack/status/1869078743907700814Sen. Gillibrand: I want to do much more. I'm very concerned that the FAA and the DOJ and Homeland Security aren't doing enough to assess whose drones these are and whether they are adversarial in any way. I think when they say something like, "Well, we have no evidence that they're foreign operators or adversarial or problematic," they don't have any evidence that it's not, right?
So I understand they want people to not be afraid, but they should be as concerned as I am because of these incursions over our bases in sensitive military sites. For two weeks, Langley had drone incursions, and it was the type of technology that our radar didn't detect them arriving.

Drones hovering over critical infrastructure
'We were told by our State Police that they know for a fact these things are hovering over critical infrastructure... A mayor in North Jersey had 60 drones hovering over four reservoirs this past Sunday'
Drones Nothingburger? Why classified briefings then?
