Berlin Wall. Funny story I heard from an Army guy who stayed in Germany.

This was from a guy in the Army who met a German woman and stayed. He got a job in public works. At the time he was on some sort of disability so he had to order food by 8 PM in order to stay in the bar (Country Western place). The Germans are exact about that sort of thing.

So the story goes that works were being done on the streets shadowed by the wall. Tools are left there because... Germany. The bars spill out and someone picks up a axe or something and someone says "F it" and starts hammering. Others join in. The police aren't sure what to do and time makes it hard to do anything. The hammering continues.

One person is an crime, 10 people are an incident, 20 people are a mob.

It continued on through the night. World leaders decided overnight.. let it go.

Anyway that's the way I heard it.

Trump just shown at LSU - Al Abama football game. Cheering crowd.

That was the clear presentation by CBS. Probably was.
So .... the Alabama vote is secure. It would appear.

Next play, Bama's QB inexplicably fumbled the ball on the LSU 5 yard line. LSU recovered.

Kentucky- Stivers suggests a majorly d___ move. Decide election in legislature

Senate president: Kentucky governor's race could be decided by state legislature

Kentucky Senate President Robert Stivers threw another wrench into the state's razor-thin gubernatorial outcome late Tuesday night, saying that the legislature could decide the race.

Stivers, R-Manchester, said based on his staff’s research, the decision could come before the Republican-controlled state legislature.

---someone tell what the hell this has to do with ANYTHING ----

Stivers said he thought Bevin’s speech declining to concede to Beshear was “appropriate.” He said believes most of the votes that went to Libertarian John Hicks, who received about 2% of the total vote, would have gone to Bevin and made him the clear winner.

A BEE WITH TWO FATHERS AND NO MOTHER HAS BEEN DISCOVERED

Newsweek title in all caps
Thanks to Floyd R. Turbo for leading me here

Scientists have found a female bee that had two fathers and no mother in the first documented case of its kind.

Honeybees are known as haplodiploid. This is a system of sex determination—females come from fertilized eggs, while males are the result of unfertilized eggs. But in one to two percent of cases, another system emerges—"sex mosaics." These bees are known as gynandromorphs and they develop from several cell lines of different origin and different sex.

Sarah Aamidor, from the University of Sydney, Australia, and colleagues, were investigating gynandromorph bees to better understand the flexibility of honeybee reproduction. While scientists know gynandromorphs emerge as a result of a genetic mutation, how and why it happens is not clear.

Most of the bees were found to have three or four parental origins—with two or three fathers to one mother. But their results also showed that one bee had been produced from two fathers and no mother. It lacked any maternal genetic material, so the scientists propose it was created by a fusion of two sperm.

What's Irish bacon? 🥓

What's Irish bacon? I asked to the cashier at the corner breakfast place.
Cashier: it's as if ham and bacon had a baby.

PG&E. Are powerlines normally this "sparky"?

I feel like a part of the equation is missing.

I don't know that the powerlines I've seen are in any way a threat to start a fire.
Has PG&E's maintenance been THAT slack?
Have regulations been cut that much...in California?
Is PG&E THAT powerful? - God knows Dominion Power owns part of the General Assembly here.

Trump, Lifelong New Yorker, Declares Himself a Resident of Florida

Trump, Lifelong New Yorker, Declares Himself a Resident of Florida

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/31/us/politics/trump-new-york-florida-primary-residence.html

The president filed a “declaration of domicile” last month saying that his property in Palm Beach will be his permanent residence.

He came of age in Queens, built Trump Tower, starred in “The Apprentice,” bankrupted his businesses six times, and drew cheering crowds and angry protesters to Fifth Avenue after his election. Through it all, President Trump — rich, bombastic and to many Americans the epitome of a New Yorker — was intertwined with the city he called his lifelong home.

No longer.

In late September, Mr. Trump changed his primary residence from Manhattan to Palm Beach, Fla., according to documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court. Melania Trump, the first lady, also changed her residence to Palm Beach in an identical document.

Each of the Trumps filed a “declaration of domicile” saying that the Mar-a-Lago Club, Mr. Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, will be their permanent residence.

"Nude golf" accident - yeah I have your attention. Was he wearing a golf glove?

Man taken to Shock Trauma after crashing golf cart at nudist camp in Davidsonville

A man was transported to Shock Trauma after crashing a golf cart at a clothing optional campground in Davidsonville Saturday, county fire officials said.

The incident happened about 5:34 p.m. at the Maryland Health Society in the 3000 block of Patuxent River Road, according to county fire spokesman Lt. Erik Kornmeyer. The society claims to be the oldest nonprofit clothing optional health resort and campground in the country, according to its website.

Kornmeyer reported the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time. He struck a tree with the cart then overturned, he said. The victim, who was apparently staying or visiting the campground, then drove to a building on the site and called 911, Kornmeyer added.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma center in Baltimore.
