Kavanaugh supporters held a 'rally' for him. Only 6 People showed up

https://shareblue.com/kavanaugh-supporters-rally-6-people/

Kavanaugh supporters held a ‘rally’ for him. Only 6 people showed up

*Six protesters assembled on Capitol Hill Thursday morning, brandishing signs in favor of Kavanaugh, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. The tiny group of demonstrators chanted “zero proof” and, inexplicably, “drain the swamp!”

The women also shouted at Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) because he worked with Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) on the agreement to delay the Kavanaugh vote for an FBI background check.

“Flake the Snake and Coons deserve each other!” the women yelled, even though Flake has said he will vote for Kavanaugh.

So far, there hasn’t been any condemnation of the small pro-Kavanaugh protest from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

*The poor turnout at Thursday’s demonstration stands in strong contrast to hundreds of events held the night before. Anna Galland, executive director of MoveOn Civic Action, noted, “100s of vigils tonight. Minot, ND, Portland ME, Anchorage, Charleston WV, more, on 48 hours’ notice.”

100s of vigils tonight. Minot, ND, Portland ME, Anchorage, Charleston WV, more, on 48 hours notice – along with huge wave of grassroots calls. This movement is electric; we will prevail – and for damn sure we'll march to the polls.

The public opposes Kavanaugh’s nomination, and those who believe he does not belong on the court have come out in droves to make their voices heard.

Biggest group of US churches says Kavanaugh ‘must step aside immediately’
Oct 4, 2018

A coalition of more than 100,000 U.S. churches says Kavanaugh has 'disqualified himself' from a position on the Supreme Court.

The National Council of Churches, a group that represents more than 100,000 churches and 40 million churchgoers across America, is calling for the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to be withdrawn, saying he has “disqualified himself” with his own behavior.

“We believe he has disqualified himself from this lifetime appointment and must step aside immediately,” the council said in a statement.

The faith group pointed to Kavanaugh’s disgraceful behavior at last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, noting he showed “extreme partisan bias” and demonstrated he lacks the “temperament” and “character” to be on the Supreme Court.

“Judge Kavanaugh exhibited extreme partisan bias and disrespect towards certain members of the committee and thereby demonstrated that he possesses neither the temperament nor the character essential for a member of the highest court in our nation,” the statement said.

The council also criticized Kavanaugh for telling “outright falsehoods” during his testimony.

As well:
On Wednesday, a group of more than 650 law professors — including more than a dozen from Kavanaugh’s own alma mater Yale Law School — signed a letter urging the Senate not to confirm Kavanaugh.

The professors cited his “lack of judicial temperament,” which they said disqualified him from a position on the court.

Surprise inspection of ICE facility finds nooses, 'health and safety risks'

https://shareblue.com/inspector-general-report-ice-facility-safety-risks-nooses/

Numerous inmates have tried to hang themselves at one ICE facility — but guards are ignoring bedsheet nooses and mocking inmates.

A new government report reveals that “a number of serious issues” that “pose significant health and safety risks” were found during a surprise inspection of an ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) facility — including more than a dozen “nooses” made out of braided bedsheets that guards ignored.

Shockingly, nooses were found in 15 out of 20 cells where male undocumented immigrants were being detained.

Some detainees said they use the braided bedsheets as clotheslines or privacy shields, although ICE standards prohibit detainees from hanging or draping items in their cells.

But of course, bedsheet nooses could also be used to attempt or complete suicide — a serious, recurring problem at the facility that ICE “has not taken seriously,” according to the report.

More people have been forced into detention facilities such as these after the Trump administration imposed its cruel zero-tolerance policy of prosecuting parents and separating them from their children after crossing the border.

According to the report on the surprise inspection of Adelanto, investigators “observed braided bedsheets” that staff at the facility referred to as “nooses.”

As officials moved through the building, the contract guard with them first removed the noose that was found, “but stopped after realizing many cells we visited had nooses hanging from the vents.”

“I’ve seen a few attempted suicides using the braided sheets by the vents and then the guards laugh at them and call them ‘suicide failures’ once they are back from medical,” one immigrant detainee told investigators.

The inspector general report cited multiple documented cases of attempted or completed suicide at the Adelanto facility.

In March 2017, a 32-year-old man died after he was found hanging from his bedsheets. Between December 2016 and October 2017, the report notes, there were at least seven suicide attempts at the facility.

“ICE’s lack of response to address this matter at the Adelanto Center shows a disregard for detainee health and safety,” the report concludes.

The report also found that medical care was severely delayed and inadequate for many Adelanto Center detainees — some of whom had to wait months or years for dental care, and lost teeth as a result.

The facility also reportedly violated standards for how and when to punish detainees by

And I say that with the inhumane treatment of these innocent people, it is not a stretch to think how little regard Trump would have for anyone standing against him.

Calls for $100 oil are back -'We're nowhere near the end of this rally'

*Iran supply fears will help drive oil "certainly" past $90 and likely above $100 in the coming months, Richard Mallinson, energy and geopolitics expert and co-founder of Energy Aspects told Business Insider.

*Venezuela "played a really important role in accelerating the shift in the market" as well since 2016
"We’re nowhere near the end of this rally," Mallinson told Business Insider.

*Major oil traders in late September forecasted oil at $100. Brent reached $85 per barrel today.

The price of oil will "certainly" go above $90 and is likely to spike above $100 in the coming months, as sanctions on Iran tighten an already stretched global oil supply says one expert.

"We’re nowhere near the end of this rally," Richard Mallinson, energy and geopolitics expert and co-founder of Energy Aspects told Business Insider.

Be prepared. Wasn't this one of the goals in seating Trump?
Question is where Russia belongs in this big picture, & which Of the complicit in the Senate & House was promised shares in Russia's Roseneft.

Note that Trump wants to stall the rapid rise in oil/gasoline prices until after the midterms.
The Blowback would kinda Suck, eh Trump?

If Trump isn't directing the Alert Test, then we have a legal right to Block it. (2006)

Somethings mighty fishy about this mandatory Alert messaging. Someone's pulling yet another fast one on
Wed, Oct 3rd between 2-3 pm ET

Here's the Highlighted wording that speaks "bullshit" to the mandatory wording.
**Correct me if I'm wrong in seeing a scam on us all**.

Here:
"Millions of American wireless-phone users on Wednesday, Oct. 3, will receive an emergency test message bearing the banner “Presidential Alert,” unless their phones are shut off or out of reception range or if they’re in the middle of a long phone call.

Users will not be able to block or otherwise opt out of the test “Presidential Alert” message.
Under the 2006 law establishing the wireless-alert system, Congress allowed participating carriers to let subscribers block any emergency alerts — except for those issued by the sitting U.S. president.

The test alert, the U.S. government’s first nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert System, won’t be from President Trump per se. In a media briefing with reporters Tuesday, a senior FEMA official said Trump will not be directly triggering the Oct. 3 alert"
