Abu Dhabi (CNN) A Dutch woman who reported being raped while on holiday in Qatar has been jailed since mid-March and could face charges of adultery, according to her lawyer.
The 22-year-old woman, whom CNN has identified only as Laura, was at a hotel bar having drinks with a friend, but then had a drink that made her feel "very unwell," according to Brian Lokollo, a lawyer who was hired by the woman's family.
She reportedly woke up in an unfamiliar location and realized "to her great horror" that she had been raped after her drink was spiked, Lokollo said.

A young man is skinned alive. A sign of new Taliban brutality?
Source: Washington Post
KABUL In a remote area of Afghanistan, where thousands of years of hardscrabble tribal culture increasingly mixes with a resurgent Taliban militancy, this is how Fazl Ahmad allegedly died.
Local officials in Ghor province said one of Ahmads distant relatives was suspected of killing a former Taliban commander. In December, militants dragged Ahmad from his house and cut out his eyes in retaliation.
Ahmad was still alive and screaming when the attackers began carving the skin off his chest, leaving his heart exposed. Then they threw the 21-year old laborer off a 10-story cliff, officials said.

"Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Zahraa mosque in Mosul to witness the execution of the woman," media activist Abdullah al-Malla was quoted as telling Aranews.
The IS militants forced several civilians to take part in the stoning, Aranews cited an eyewitness as saying.
"They called on people to take part in the execution, saying we're in the holy month of Ramadan and we should show commitment to Allah's Sharia and that the woman deserved death for committing adultery," a witness said.

Source: Huffington Post
BAGHDAD, June 9 (Reuters) - Islamic State insurgents have posted a video showing a 3,000-year-old temple being blown up at the Assyrian city of Nimrud in northern Iraq, in their latest assault on some of the worlds greatest archaeological and cultural treasures.
The United Nations confirmed in a statement on Wednesday evening that satellite imagery showed extensive damage to the main entrance of the temple of Nabu, the Babylonian god of wisdom.
Nimrud was a 13th century BC Assyrian city, located 30 km (20 miles) south of the modern city of Mosul, which the hardline Islamic State militants seized control of in June 2014.

12.8%. That's the margin Hillary won CA by. Remember those suspect polls that were
putting Bernie ahead by 10% the weekend before the race? They smelled bad and in fact were bad. Just like the polls that showed Romney would beat us in 2012.
The polls organizations have to stop lying.

Vote Hillary! Rest assured, the email problem is NOT an issue.
You see, it's not the private emails that were the problem (because everyone else was doing it). It was the fact that she had a private server. This is completely bogus and only raised because the first problem was refuted (just like the original witch-hunt focused on Benghazi). If private email was accepted, it makes no difference where the server was.
Hillary has been in some sort of public office most of her life now. Does anyone ever recall any issues with her handling of classified information before? And the real leaks in the past decade were not even through Hillary.
We fall into the GOP hands when we listen to their approach on trying to find issues to destroy candidates.
92% alignment with Bernie's positions, 90% with Hillary, 40% with Trump
Those were my scores on how my positions align with the leading candidates.
So for me, both Bernie and Hillary agree with me far more than they disagree.
Why would I, being of sane mind, ever consider voting for someone like Trump if my first Democratic pick isn't nominated. The other one is so close to my positions I would jump to support that candidate.
