Whitehouse.gov Petition Circulates In Response To Fox News (Lies) ‘Kill A Cop’ Chant

It only takes 150 signatures to get the petition to come up in search engine searches; however, Go Left America is hoping to gain the 100,000 signatures in 30 days needed in order to get President Obama to act on the petition. The deadline for the 100k signatures is Jan. 26, 2015.

Bush Administration Lawsuit Hearing Scheduled for Sept. 11th

Earlier this year, the Department of Justice, who is defending the six Bush Administration officials, responded to the lawsuit by requesting that the case be dismissed. The Bush tribe is claiming that the planning of the war occurred within the scope of their employment and therefore they have immunity.

Rather than dismissing the case, the Judge asked for additional information. So Mr. Comar filed a 2nd amended complaint back in June. The amended complaint provides more details about the planning of the Iraq war and when it started.

Comar’s evidence, shows the Bush/Cheney team started planning the invasion of Iraq as far back as 1997. The amended complaint also explains that the war was motivated by personal enrichment and the war was a “crime of aggression.”

Earlier this week. Inder Comar got his chance in court to respond to the motion to dismiss and explain the 2nd amended complaint further. He essentially made two points to the court.

FINALLY. I would add my two cents but these couple snips sums it up for me. - Comar’s evidence, shows the Bush/Cheney team started planning the invasion of Iraq as far back as 1997. The amended complaint also explains that the war was motivated by personal enrichment and the war was a “crime of aggression.” and - In light of the treaties and charters that the United States has signed, Comar stated that the defence can’t now claim that acts of aggression are above a leader’s authority. In this case, the Bush Administration.

The real world reminder why SC decision bigoted

I found this on another site. It illustrates what women deal with in the real world. If you aren't pissed this is the reminder you need & be sure to share it.

There is a war on women in this nation. It’s time to fight back. Vote out Republicans before you lose the right to vote.
• A woman is raped every two minutes in the United States, but the Supreme Court just helped corporations block access to emergency contraception for women if their employers choose to not to allow their health coverage to pay for it. There’s no guarantee that if you are working a minimum wage job you are going to have money in the bank for a Plan B the day after you are raped. That is what our health coverage is for, to provide for our health emergencies.
• Thirty-one states allow for child custody rights for rapists.
• The attacks on women’s reproductive rights that occurred at the state level in 2014 are too numerous to list, but you might remember North Carolina’s “motorcycle safety” bill which turned into an omnibus abortion bill, Texas’ attack on clinics which provide abortions, and Wisconsin’s move to force women to have transvaginal ultrasounds all made the headlines last year.
• A comprehensive report by the Guttmacher Institute in 2011 revealed that more than 1,100 pieces of legislation were introduced which dealt with reproductive "health" and 68% of those restricted access to abortion services.
• Along with restricting access to abortion, access to cancer screening and other health related services were denied women by the closing of 36 Planned Parenthood Clinics (this does not include other clinics by other organizations) from 2010 - 2011. Another 24 closed in 2013 by the month of August. Planned Parenthood provided over one million breast exams and pap tests in 2012, providing early warning to over 85,000 women yet continues to be attacked as a "abortion provider", ignoring the positive work the organization accomplishes, which saves lives.
• States like Nebraska can force you to give birth to children which cannot live outside the womb.
• In Iowa if you are pregnant you can be arrested if you have an accident which causes the death of your fetus, a woman was arrested for falling down the stairs.
• Republicans blocked equal pay initiatives in Congress and in states like Texas in 2014.
• Republicans are pushing “voter I.D.” laws which specifically put women at high-risk of being turned away at the polls as women are more likely to change their names due to marriage and divorce.

A Saleh v. Bush Lawsuit Update

"The Department of Justice, who is defending the Bush Administration, had previously responded to the complaint by requesting that the case be thrown out. The Bush clan is claiming that the planning of the war occurred within the scope of their employment and they therefore have immunity." But here's the holdup - "But rather than dismissing the case, the hearing was taken off calendar because the judge on the case asked for additional information. So Mr. Comar is filing a 2nd amended complaint on June 9, 2014 that provides more details about the planning of the Iraq war and when it started. According to Mr. Comar’s evidence, the Bush/Cheney team started planning the invasion of Iraq as far back as 1997.

The 2nd amended complaint will explain that the war was motivated for personal enrichment and the war was a “crime of aggression.” One of the points that Mr. Comar discussed was that the Bush Administration does not have immunity if it can be proven that the war’s planning did not take place after George W. Bush was first elected. This means that the war had been planned outside the scope of their employment and so conspired to commit this “crime of aggression.”

So glad this wasn't just kicked to the curb. I know the international court is looking into this as well. (The bold emphasis is mine). Here's the link to the article.

Who went to the March Against Monsanto today?

It was misting rain in K.C. MO - still probably 100 or more showed. It was high energy. Adults, seniors, handicapped, children, teens. Especially happy to see the children. Some fantastic signs, good speaker giving some background info, literature, guitar player & sing a long. Also a drummer. That kept the energy high & the chanting loud. I had interesting conversations with people I just met & learned a few things. All in all I hope you did not miss this opportunity to have your voice heard & meet like minded people.

CNN refuses to cover benghazi

What Zucker was saying is that if Benghazi were to become a legitimate news story, CNN would cover it, but right now, Benghazi isn’t newsworthy, so no matter how much Fox News screams at the top of their lungs, CNN won’t be covering the story.

Most of the media isn’t playing along with the Republican attempts to manipulate them into covering Benghazi. Through seven previous investigations, Republicans have found no evidence of wrongdoing by the White House. Benghazi is the ultimate non-story. Viewers outside of hard core Republicans aren’t interested.

House Republicans can’t even explain what the “crime” is. For the first time in years, the mainstream media is telling Republicans no. The mainstream media has been enabling Republican insanity for years, by treating their conspiracies and crackpot theories as if they are legitimate news. The media isn’t playing along anymore.

I called roy blunt today (Missouri) senator. (202) 224-5721. Told the aide I wanted the minimum wage increased & to forward the message. The entire call took about 2 minutes.

The republicans will surely filibuster this & they need to hear from their constituents.

Last year it was covered by Al Jazeera America but not the major U.S. media. Millions & millions attended these marches world wide. I was told a local station did a 2 minute segment. Once.

I am letting people know that this is Something you can Do, participate in. Make a sign, take a friend. I'm doing a picnic lunch with daughter & am trying to get her friends involved. Make a party.

I am also putting up flyers; Monsanto wants to keep the public in dark regarding the health hazards. I say no.

It would be cool to meet some DUer's in the area. I'm traveling from Excelsior Springs MO- about a 35 minute drive. It was fun last year.
